craftadian

Pop-Up Market

Ontario, Canada

Craftadian (stylized as Craftadian ®) is a highly curated, juried handmade market series operating in southern Ontario since 2011. It's one of the longest-running and most respected pop-up/handmade markets in the region, focusing on unique, truly handmade goods from Canadian designers, creators, makers, and artisans. All products sold must be handmade (or have a significant handmade component), with a strong emphasis on quality, originality, and supporting local talent—think jewelry, fashion, home décor, art, small-batch foods, and more. Events attract thousands of shoppers seeking authentic, one-of-a-kind items, often with gourmet food options and a licensed bar at larger venues. While not exclusively Toronto-based (they rotate through southern Ontario cities like Mississauga, Hamilton, and Burlington), they do host events in the GTA area, making them relevant for Toronto-area pop-up seekers. It's a great fit for chleia.com as a recurring artisan/handmade pop-up organizer.

The Leslieville Farmers' Market

Farmers Market

1470 Gerrard St E, Toronto, ON M4L 2A3, Canada

No rating yet/0 reviews/0 upcoming events

Back in 2011, the Leslieville Farmers’ Market popped its tents for the very first time in Jonathan Ashbridge Park—tucked between a streetcar barn, a McDonald’s, and a sewage plant. What started as a hidden gem with just a dozen vendors quickly grew into a neighbourhood staple. These days, over 60 farmers, food producers, chefs, and artisans roll in every Sunday from May through October, ready to turn a quiet park into a lively celebration of good food, live music, and neighbourhood spirit. And yes, let’s be honest: dogs are a big part of this. The LFM vibe is about good taste in every sense—shopping for the freshest food, indulging win master bakers and chefs, and enjoying a local brew or a glass of wine with friends—It’s like a festival of everything that makes life rich and meaningful, set under open skies with live music - but all before 2:00 pm. Since 2020, we’ve found a new home in Greenwood Park, and we haven’t stopped growing. In 2021, thanks to support from the City of Toronto, we expanded beyond the Sunday market by developing the East End Food Hub. Partnering with Applegrove and the Nourish East End Food Bank—two organizations that have been serving the community for decades—we’re strengthening local food security through cooking classes, community kitchens, and year-round programs that put good, accessible food at the center of daily life. All of this happens thanks to a small, three-person staff team and a dedicated group of volunteers who keep this market humming year-round. We’re always evolving, but we could never do it alone. Our work is made possible by the farmers, chefs, vendors, customers, and community members who show up every season, help each other, and make the LFM what it is.
